Family Situation – Dad is a drunkard. He left them when Appoos was very young. Hails from Tamil Nadu. Mom and Grandparents at Kochi now. Appoos has a very cheerful disposition and takes everything with a smile. He narrated to me a long story of where he was born and where he spend the earlier part of his life. He was throwing at me more information than I could handle. When I got confused with his story, he willingly repeated everything. When I asked him for a further clarification, he told me in mock anger , “How many times should I tell you? You are so dumb. I already told 3 times”. Now you can't argue with such logic. When we sat next to each other and talked about what matters to us the most, he told me his fascination for soccer. “I love cricket too. But soccer is my first love”, said Appoos. He told me that one day he hopes to become like Beckham. On asking whether it is because he hopes to get a wife like Victoria, he replies with a shy smile. Appoos revealed that he also enjoys studying and reads comics to have a good laugh. When quizzed on why he had to change so many schools, he confidentially told me all the naughty things he was upto. With a wicked grin he explained to me how he threw a stone at one of the boys at school and the boy was left with a bleeding head. To say that I was scared would be an understatement. But the devilish grin he spotted, coupled with innocence in his eyes told me that is what he exactly wanted. |
